Richmond, Virginia is a city rich in community bands, many of which you can link to here.  We have also included other local links of interest.

Several of the following bands are similar to the Chesterfield Community Band in that they are city or county based concert bands. Other instrumental groups in the area offer a different flavor, from traditional European wind band music to symphonic music to big band era offerings.

Many of our members also play for one or more of these other local groups.

Allen Cole

Allen is a former member of our band, and still performs with the European Wind Ensemble, the Richmond Pops Band and a local jazz pop band, Spectrum. Allen also teaches clarinet and saxophone to local students. Check out his great website.
